After we published a preview story Monday about the Treasure Hunters Roadshow coming to Mitchell, some readers encouraged us to look into the company’s background. I did, and I wrote a story for today’s paper in which a company official acknowledged bouncing some checks but said it was an isolated incident caused by an unexpected bank hold on a deposit.
Some people are convinced that the Treasure Hunters Roadshow is corrupt. Others think the show provides a great opportunity for people to profit from their unused antiques and collectibles.
The proof will be in the pudding, so I’d like to invite anyone who sells an item to the Treasure Hunters Roadshow this week to share your story in the comment section of this blog post.
